Gairloch is a trio of world-class musicians based in Montreal. Named after a village in Scotland, they perform traditional Scottish music while also incorporating Irish and Quebec repertoire, and original compositions. Formed in 2022, Gairloch is made up of Seán Dagher (Irish bouzouki, voice), David Gossage (flutes, whistles) and Kate Bevan-Baker (fiddle, voice). The trio has been performing together in various formations since 2010, most regularly at Hurley’s Irish Pub in Montreal. In July 2024, Gairloch was the only Canadian artist invited to perform and present workshops at the Willie Clancy Summer School, Ireland’s largest and most celebrated musical gathering.
