Viviane Audet first gained recognition as an actress before building an acclaimed career as a composer. She has written music for numerous films, television series, and documentaries, including Camion, Les rois Mongols, Arsenault et fils, and Le monde de Gabrielle Roy.

Alongside her work for screen, she is an accomplished singer-songwriter, both as a member of Mentana and as a solo artist. Her 2023 album Les nuits avancent comme des camions blindés sur les filles earned multiple award nominations.

Following her piano project Les filles montagne, she released Le piano et le torrent in 2025, further establishing her voice in the neoclassical repertoire.
