Sophie Faucher and Marc Hervieux have created a unique and original project on the life and career of Maria Callas. Sophie Faucher plays the diva and Marc Hervieux her great friend Giuseppe Di Stefano, in addition to directing the play. This show marks the hundredth anniversary of the singer, found dead in her Parisian apartment at the age of 53. A life that oscillates painfully between international glory and her burning love for Aristotle Onassis, who left her for Jackie Kennedy, throwing her into immense grief from which she will never recover. Sophie Faucher and Anne Bryan are the co-authors of Une voix pour être aimée: Maria Callas. This story, both romantic and heartbreaking, is supported by music and archives that transport us to the very heart of the diva’s universe.

Thirteen artists on stage: choir director, guitarist, flamenco dancer and 10 singers. This concert by Les Rugissants opens a window on Spanish choral music of the 20th and 21st centuries, but also on a Spain imagined and evoked by foreign composers.
An extraordinary choir founded in 2017 which won the Prix de la tournée at the Conseil des Arts de Montréal with this program.

The Taiko (or Japanese drum) is rooted in the folk tradition of Japan. It was used to mark out villages, to chase away evil spirits, for ceremonies or even to liven up festivals.

The group was founded in 1983 under the aegis of the Japanese-Canadian Cultural Center of Montreal, to preserve and promote Japanese culture.

Their philosophy is based on 3 fundamental values: appreciation, consideration and respect.

Paulo Ramos and his guests, notably Bïa, Annick Brémault and Rommel Ribeiro, present a colorful and warm Brazilian show. On the menu: samba, derived from African rhythms circulating from the alleys of Salvador to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, has become the most popular music in Brazil. On a wave of irresistible melancholy, samba brings hope and transmits joy, that of dancing freely in the sun or in the moonlight. And bossa nova, born on the beaches and in the lounges of Rio, is a more suave style of samba. It has enchanted the entire planet with its melodies and sophisticated harmonies.
